The core Easy Concept principle is driven by one simple theory:
"Every relay doubles the noise and cuts the message in half."
- The first law of information theory
Based on this theory, we have deduced 5 Easy guidelines for our Easy Content Management solutions:
- Easy content creation - An Easy CMS solution should have an easy to use web-based authoring environment that is designed to function like Word. This provides a non-technical way of creating new pages or updating content, without having to know any HTML, and allows content updating to be done remotely.
- Easy content management - An Easy CMS solution should have an easy to use web-based managing environment, with intuitive workflow which allows for easy Meta tagging/Indexing, and setting of live and archiving dates, version and access control.
- Easy publishing - An Easy CMS solution should have easy publishing workflow that supports separation of content creation by writers and content publishing by editors.
- Easy presentation - An Easy CMS solution should be able to support multiple browsers, or users with accessibility issues. This could include easy presentation of printed formats (PDF, Word, etc), wireless/hand-held formats (WAP, etc), or XML.
- Easy framework - An Easy CMS solution should be able to deploy easily in the respective web server environment as to facilitate cost-effectiveness and reduce dependency.
