Fivecube understands that financial pressures faced by some small and medium enterprises (SMEs) can inhibit their ability to invest large amounts of money in the development of a realistic web strategy.
For this reason, we choose to use Opensource software to assist our client to achieve their goals.
What is Opensource?
Many people have never heard the term "Opensource" before, and if they have, they may not understand what it means. Simply put, it generally means that the software is free, can be distributed, and can be altered.

Why use Opensource?
It's Free - With this privilege, we are able to implement cost-effective CMS solution to our clients.
Better Software - Though some Opensource software isn't big on features, almost all Opensource software shares one amazing truth: robustness. Because the source code is available for all to see, many bugs and security holes are found, reported and fixed in near real time. This means that the software is usually very stable and very secure.
A Way Out - On occasion, especially in harsh economic conditions, companies go bust. No one likes to see that happen, but it's a part and parcel of life. If a software vendor closes shop, it can mean a huge mess for an IT department to clear. Opensource companies are just as vulnerable during hard times as commercial providers, but their software is not. Should an Opensource provider go out of business, two things can and do occur:
- The Opensource community continues the development of the product even after the death of the company.
- If all else fails, an IT staff can continue to support the software themselves or through the help of consultants, as they have the source code.
